She should have took the high road though, dude is a goofy and a troll.

The album was trash

Subject matter & concept are irrelevant if the music isn't hitting imo

E.g. if you are a person who doesn't enjoy SB2H, no amount of understanding where Cudi was at mentally will improve the listening experience for you

Tricky explanation coming, no harm intended

I loved the purple mountains album immensely (disliking this album is damn near blasphemous) but unfortunately I would not expect someone to give it added reverence/give the album more props based upon the subject matter/themes & the gutwrenching event that occurred after its release

i don't thjink halsey's least memorabe song will be remembered more than fantano ngl

She was blatantly wrong and somehow he still made himself look like a weird internet troll guy with his response

I say this all the time, if you listen to an Ed Sheeran interview about his album he genuinely believes he's inspired & feels like he actually made something great & yet every album stinks

Every celebrity considers "the internet" their op. They all gang stalk themselves with name searches.

I need to relisten, but i remember it being alright. The lyrics were so grim that i didnt want to replay it. But that being said i love carrie and lowell and that has some pretty grim lyrics too

Obviously it is right to show compassion to someone going through painful health struggles but there are billions of people out there also going through things who don't get anywhere near this amount of compassion

I've done odd jobs in the past where you go to help an elderly person who lives alone with some errands, some of these folks can barely move & their whole houses are messed up beyond belief because they do not have the physical capabilities to do anything about it by their own hands & they don't have any help to sort things out for them

Them niggas & countless other folks don't get compassion & yet folks are supposed to give someone's underwhelming album special adulation, hell nah

fantano is an obnoxious unfunny thin-skinned d***head who acts like and is desperate to be loved by people 25 years younger than him. his vibes are deeply unpleasant.

that said, i will never know if he is in the right in this situation because i will never listen to this halsey album.

He not wrong, that whole cosplaying other artists albums was corny and gave hella main character energy

If i remember correctly he hardly talked about the music and just called her a cry baby the whole time because all the lyrics were about her dying of cancer a week after she gave birth. So people viewed it as super distasteful and it provided nothing but a slander piece. Also hes booking interviews with the biggest artist in the world right now so hate it or not he sorta has made his place

The album may not have been enjoyable enough for him to truly take in her subject matter

Track dissection is earned imo, I didn't get into the intricacies of The Fall Off because it didn't warrant it for me, whereas when I was listening to say WOLF or TPAB I'm more inclined to dive deeper into the meaning of the album because I'm enjoying them heavily

Even songs people love might not receive their intended a***ysis e.g. Hey Ya & 3005, the majority of the world thinks they are just funny happy hits

Even something like the film Tenet, many people ain't gonna be fussed to try to dig into the story/lore & connect the dots

or for better films, a Mulholland Drive or Donnie Darko, people may just take them at face value & not realise what's actually happened

(It's not even really vitriol for Halsey, it's just about the concept of people thinking their work deserves respect that it hasn't really earned)

Then again, that's why i imagine if someone asked me about certain mid artists in an interview I'd probably just ask them to cut that section of the interview instead of me having to publicly call them mid.

If I play someone the first Viktor Vaughn album, they might love it and even replay it a few times, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll realise he's playing a different character
