Every now and then I go back to this album and MOTMII and think man Cudi came out the gate rolling and did it his own way. I remember being in high school and my homie feeling some type of way about Cudi being considered rap and how MOTMII was a “singing album” lol

Truth is he was just ahead of the curve

Damn cudi a rat

This will go down as one of the lasting great albums of our time I think

cant put into words how much this album impacted my life

I remember this leaked while I was on vaacation. Had to wait til I got home to download on the family vacation. One of my favorite albums of all time.

This album is a time machine. <3

It’s crazy to me how that new wave of rap fans that came in around 2016 never put the MOTM1 and 2 albums on that pedestal.

I realized it’s because sincerity makes them uncomfortable. They want rap to be “bleached a******, I took the top off the maybach” either ironic or hyper street

But on the other hand I’m glad that they never made these albums corny to like

MOTM1 and 2 paved the way for gkmc and TPAB. Those albums don’t happen if cudi didn’t do what he did. I know that’s a hot take to some of yall too but it’s facts. Alien Girl shows Kendrick was paying attention

Up to 2009, this was the best concept album yet

I hear you and I feel you, but Lupe’s Food & Liquor was really the introspective concept album that paved the way for that generation.

Fair that was another favorite of mine. But I don’t consider it a concept album

Cudi making a movie album with acts and narration changed everything
