I feel you, I’m all for more stories being told. But we just started getting regular quality films from a black perspective around a decade ago. I think it’ll be a lil while longer before people can make a mixed film that has the nuance to not come off as corny.
Like you said tho, something these days could hit tubi and be funny. That being said, despite not being a huge fan currently, if Drake got a biopic I’d want to be the kind of quality that would demand respect and acclaim to some degree. Maybe not like bohemian rhapsody but at least on the level of straight outta Compton where it feels definitive

I think it just doesn’t seem that interesting regarding Drake because while yes, he is a biracial man, being biracial has never really been tied to his artistic identity all that much outside of a few lyrical references here and there throughout his career
Also, he wasn’t even the only biracial rapper to blow up at that time, J. Cole is right there
So it’s not like he had this uphill/solo solo battle against the world, being lightskin and mixed was cool in 2009
