This is the America people wanted whether they asked for it or not. Anything but a vote for Kamala guaranteed what we see now. Even when trump falls theil and Vance gonna be right there to usher in the surveillance state

America is cooked beyond repair, wait until people get kicked off of Medicaid and Medicare in 2027. Wait until public schools start losing funding because teachers don't wanna paint slavery as "it could have been worse"

Anyone who didn't vote for whatever reason is just as guilty as the maga cult

the dems should've had a better candidate and an actual platform sounds like something to focus on in the coming years instead of crying about people (understandably) not voting for kamala

I understand your pessimistic view and the contempt you hold, but we should look forward rather than looking at the past and blaming people who didn't vote/voted for someone else than Trump and Harris.

Please stop all the doom and gloom, America is very f***ed right now but the tide can shift as soon as 2026. Congress is what matters most. Obviously there's a lot of stuff like social programs and medical that has been sent back decades in progress, but we shouldn't let up and accept this as our fate. It's quite fatalist... Stuff this current admin has been doing is already making protests in every state, that didn't really happen with previous democrat and republican governments.

Also, the person you replied to (katerina pan dulce) is literally Mexican, she knows firsthand how terrible the GOP is to her and her people...

Guess what buddy I'm Mexican too but and sounds good bro. We just have to believe!

No kings protest part 3 and 4 gonna be a movie fr! 🍿 💯

I agree bro and I'm not crying I'm just saying this is the reality many refused to acknowledge and now it's being realized

Project 2025 was no secret and it was out in the open

In the most American fashion though most Americans don't gaf unless it effects them personally

Yall can keep holding your breathe for the midterms

    I'm just trying to survive

The point of nation-wide protests in the US is sharing awareness so the layperson snaps out of their complacency--thinking this is normalcy, so sure, it is helpful. This is quite literally the most unconstitutional government we have had and the American person is conditioned to not question or think much about it given they have never lived under autocracy before.

And the reason I mentioned that she's Mexican is because she has the right to stand by what she says, you have another way and I respect it as well

Trump imposing authoritarian law, imprisoning and deporting people without trial, turning Gaza into a casino resort, illegal tariffs worsening inflation and got unemployment rising, vaccines getting outlawed

But I guess the dems should’ve had a better candidate =\

I say this with love bro

    You're delusional

We are in a full facist regime

What you're seeing unfold has been in the making since Reagan took office

    Since the patriot act

    Since the 08 housing crisis

Poor people still think it's white vs black vs Mexican etc

The people with wealth and power know your skin color doesn't mean s*** and it's the rich vs the poor

How the f*** does this even relate to what I said. I'm well aware that there's one major war and it's the class war. Identity/cultural politics still restricts the average person. Both things can be true, it's not black and white.

I have been working in public health/nonprofit for the last 6 years. I was in PPE during Covid when mfs were at home watching TikTok's and twitch streams beating their meat

I love the people who work private sector or don't work at all that pop out for little performative protests or social media posts

I've worked with low/no income and undocumented people for the last 6 years

Maybe I am cynical and pessimistic and a nihilist whatever you wanna call it but I'm a realist. I don't get to pretend people aren't suffering everyday and only pay attention when I see a video or headline. I've seen the "real America" everyday for the last 6 years

Miss me with this midterms bs. This country is f***ed and as soon as my lease is up I'm leaving. Yall can have fun rebuilding in 2032 after the third term that is if the earth is even habitable by then or if there even are elections by then.

I really do think you guys are underestimating the state the US is in. What's worse is our allies are turning their backs on us. Concentration camps on US soil. Declaring war against your own cities due to political ideation. The justice department being weaponized. Literacy rates at an all time low. Job market f***ed. Vaccines being politicized.

Wait until "M2" is released by TikTok and now suddenly the US is in a digital bubble like China is with the CCP

But yeah man midterms 2026 will change everything! It's not like one side is completely committing fraud and treason or anything!

I hope everyone has a great day

The student states "our president's laws" as a reason why what she's teaching is illegal. Executive orders are not the law.

I legitimately said I sympathise and respect your position but all I really meant is that you shouldn't impose guilt onto others for having a different perspective, and look towards the future rather than the past.

I'm not looking towards the midterms with gleaming eyes, and that it'll all be okay, it's just a stepping point toward the future. If it took all of what happened during this term for the American to open their eyes, who knows what might have happened if we continued our path. There needs to be serious introspection on the left-wing side as well, there is still rampant bipartisan support for Israel, an illiberal and anti-democratic state, with multi-billionaire organisations funding corporate dems. There's a cognitive dissonance people see and they want it right, but seeing folks like Hakeem Jeffries alienate his more socially left peers, it's clear there isn't much.

Also, I'm well aware at the what the dark enlightenment/Thiel types have in store (anti-democracy, more corruption), I just don't really think it's super Doomsday as this country runs more like a wacky Banana republic than a strict autocracy, there's too many checks in line. But yes, I'm sure it's disillusioning as someone who works for social programs and/or as a federal agent.

both parties are to blame. one is open and upfront about the evil s*** they want to do and the other sugarcoats it and self sabotages any chance they get.

we need a complete reform before we fall into a complete collapse. we need an actual left in this country and not this centrist disguised as left liberal bullshit.

we're watching the checks this country has be degraded in real time. the inalienable rights guaranteed through our amendments are meaning less and less by the day.
