krishna boundi think it's both true that drake got completely and utterly wiped in the battle and also the playing field wasn't level for judgement as well.
I don't think these things are mutually exclusive even though a lot of stans (like akademiks himself basically) make it seem like it is. drake got his ass handed to in the overall scheme of the beef and stuff like the heart pt 6 made him look worse, and his behavior post-beef has reflected that more. however at the same time kendrick's general reputation/status and the general public desire for the "elimination of drake" that's existed for years now played a big role in public opinion.
drake ushered in the whole chatty-patty/rumor mill aspect of beefs more or less himself and then it bit him in the ass with Story of Adidon (and then here too separately, for clarity). the entire beef was really both sides saying a lot of nothing but kendrick did a much better job in the public eye at making it seem more vitriolic and sincere. i still think the angle of the entire beef being "who's a worse person morally" is dumb and its insane drake tried to do that given the context of his recent career and general career post-adidonDrake tried to move like he did in 2015 but the difference is he was loved back then lmaoo ever since the Pusha T beef his music has been getting progressively more angrier and on some lowkey redpill s*** with the overt misogyny and it’s turned a lot of his core fanbase off outside of the hardcore stans
The shots at Rihanna and Meg on the last couple of projects only made it worse
