I’m not saying everyone was trend hopping but I didn’t see much of a difference in the attitude towards football offline. Black people I knew were still watching even those who agreed with Kaep. Only speaking on what I saw.

But yeah you’re right about that too. Which is why I agreed wit Jay when he said kneeling and protesting is great but what happens next? But I also never expected Jay partnering up wit the NFl to have some actual impact in race relations lol

I was the only person I knew actively boycotting games, but not for Kaep's reason, I just wanted to see a safer game and I think they achieved that

I think the biggest disconnect was that Kaep grew up with white parents and he led his "boycott" with pure entitlement. He got a raw deal, but he did himself further injustices by not directing the people where to attack

Not deflecting I’m giving my perspective on it. If you don’t agree that’s cool. I do remember him being attacked for it and I already said I stood with him. But no a lot of people weren’t serious about it imo and gave in as time passed esoecially the coverage went from about what he was fighting for to him attempting to get back into the league.

If you wanna criticize Kendrick for performing at the Super Bowl do it I don’t think you niggas need an actual reason anyway but let’s keep it 100 across the board. S*** he already did it a couple of years ago lol If Wayne or anyone else was picked to perform the same people up in arms about him being “snubbed” would they also have to defend them from similar critiques?
