    Lil Baby - My Turn

Pushed the genre beyond any real criteria into mass delusion

Caused an immediate vibe shift in hip-hop for the worse that the genre is still recovering from

This shook s*** up but WLR nuked the genre

Dilla sent ripples out into the world

Definitely deserves their props even if they aren't as revered as the 'Neo Soul' debuts that came after

Trying to think of which album would be considered the first hip hop album that could hold up/had flows that would still be usable today & I'm not sure i agree with it being Illmatic in 1994, 1993 is arguably a top 5 year in hip hop

(No slight to 80s/golden era rap obviously although rap styles took a jump, hell I love Paid In Full, Criminal Minded etc, loads of albums from that era. But golden era rappers (during the golden era) tend to have simpler 'A, B, C' flows)

    Joi is astounding, man.

I like the follow-up album even more.

    I agree
Played that & her 3rd album back to back a couple months ago, so creative & underrated

Although... I was happy to have seen D'Angelo when Kendra was in that lead backing vocal role, instead of the Joi run that came after

I'm convinced that all the Cacs who wish for music from back in the day only worship east coast 90s hip hop and don't actually respect masterpieces like this one.
