Can we just accept, for once, that ghostwriting is necessary if you’re trying to make classics? People keep acting like ghostwriting means someone is writing your bars for you, when in today’s era it is mostly about song structure, hooks, and shaping the overall record. There’s a reason rappers suddenly start making better songs (beats, hooks, even flows) once they blow up. Check the writing credits on any major rap album, including Kendrick’s. If you have access to people who can help you make a hit, why wouldn’t you take it?

Look at Quentin Miller for example. He has worked with Nas, Kanye, Big Sean, Drake and plenty of others. Everyone in the industry knows that music is a collaborative process. Yet for writers like Quentin, being publicly credited can almost be career suicide for any rapper at this point, which is wild considering how common collaboration really is.

Since you’re the one making the claim originally can you point to a Gnx writing credit that isn’t a sample, producer or feature

    All artist need AI

Can we just accept, for once, that AI is necessary if you’re trying to make classics? People keep acting like AI means someone is writing your bars for you, when in today’s era it is mostly about song structure, hooks, and shaping the overall record. There’s a reason rappers suddenly start making better songs (beats, hooks, even flows) once they blow up. Check the writing credits on any major album, including Timbaland's. If you have access to AI who can help you make a hit, why wouldn’t you take it?

Do you think producers just make a beat and let kendrick to the rest? nah the whole way the producers are making suggestions towards flows, subject matter, hooks etc. Producers are songwriters
