Yeah I get the sentimental purpose of the song for his wife, but putting that aside

I heard this song for the first time in years today and it felt like a Vietnam flashback. In middle school this would come on the pop station every 30 minutes and destroy my mood. Between this and happy being on full rotation all of 2014, it genuinely left a stain on that year of my life

Probably the most directionless year of all time for music. A lot of the weird left field popular songs were 2013 songs that blew up out of nowhere. 2013 was a generational year for music and left the following year in absolute shambles

2014 is Actually the year I have the least music from and remember horribly for music

it was a transitional year in between two generational years
