Probably cause it's so popular, and so many episodes people hate on it without even having watched it. Also the animes quality is inconsistent af and the pacing can be horrendous which is why most people either drop it or switch to reading the Manga.
Its worth it tho, one piece is the goat shonen

The two movies I see don't seem to follow so I'm assuming the rest just isn't out yet?

The manga is a lot further ahead read it if you have can handle it. I dropped it though.
Made in Abyss is dark as f***, and the manga doesn’t censor shot so for those two reasons had to drop.
