I think it has a brilliant premise and hearing people a***yze its themes on the notion of justice and the dynamics of L vs Light and how both sides are ultimately flawed despite one being the "law" is far more intriguing than watching the actual show.

This is why I would love to one day get a cinematic adaptation that understands how it could translate into a cinematic artform.

Well that's the entire point of the show though

Finishing this the only manga left i have to read by Inoue is vagabound. Reading this right after slam dunk it was incredible seeing how much his art improved. The characters were easily the best part of the manga they all felt real (No pun intended). I was expecting this to be focused more on Wheelchair basketball but was pleasantly surprised by the story and characters and how relatable they are. only reason i don't give this a 10 is because it's not finished. Really blue balled me as i was really getting into it.

Started reading One Piece because there is no fckn chance I am gonna watch the anime from the start.
Also started wolfsmund (made by former assistant of miura), it's like berserk but 100% tortureporn this time, might drop

the anime got great animation without being too deep and it's something you can enjoy without paying too much attention

the manga is fun if you read the colored version but overall it's just cool characters and power-scaling

this part of the story was really hittin

1. Its a battle shounen so it caters to a wide audience. If a battle shounen doesn't become a big hit it f***ed up badly.

2. Nezuko. A voiceless girl who sits inside a box is somehow a good enough gimmick for people to fall in love with her.

3. It looks pretty.

What I meant is why is the manga so successul... it doesn't have any of the animation or music just the mid story

Most battle shounen don't surpass One Piece in sales or have the biggest first week movie sales in Japan

The setting was so perfect for that encounter too
