All those are not the reason why its successful. 99% of battle shonen will never be close to the success of KnY. KnY was a hit with people that don't even read Manga and those type of people don't even care about pretty animation. Nezuko is cute but in the end, there are countless Manga with cute girls, this is not one of the main reasons.
The main reason are the characters. They are connecting with people. Mega hits are always huge bc of the characters.
Also japanese love bittersweet stories

Watched the first episode of the Dragon Quest reboot anime and the animation was really good and had that nostalgic 90s style going for it. I liked how 90s the show is, in a good way
