Lol I jordan laughed because the show is gas and honestly pretty funny but it’s a different type of funny than the gto/golden boy/grand blue. I’ll be on the lookout for some recs that you might like not sure if you’d like that devil part timer because it does have some fantasy elements.

New Re Zero was good. Think Garfiel is my most hated character by far in this series

This has been a fantastic season so far:

AOT Final Season (serious GOAT anime season potential here)

HoriMiya (one of the best first episodes I’ve seen from a rom com)

ReZero s2 p2 (really great continuation from the first part which was the best stretch of this show so far)

Wonder Egg Priority (This is such a breath of fresh air and extremely bold and weird and I love it. Stunning art/animation with Satoshi Kon vibes but different enough to feel like it’s own thing)

Mushoku Jobless Reincarnation (on the surface seems like a generic isekai, but this has incredible art/animation with a very interesting twist to the genre as well as a lot of patience towards its storytelling. This was actually rly strong from its first ep)

The Promised Neverland s2 (alright so this is the most disappointing one I’ve seen so far. The pacing seems really out of wack and a number of sequences just didn’t hit as a result. Hopefully it gets better though )

Either way, been a long time since a season produced as many winners as this

Shingeki no kyojin is literally airing right now

We needed this after what we went through last year

i appreciated the limited setting of those two shows. like NHK focused almost entirely on the day to day interactions of a handful of characters in one city.

steins;gate had huge scope with the time travel stuff but pacing, location, and character wise it had that narrow feeling as well.

meanwhile AOT seems more traditional action/shonen type s***

I find fascinating how anime are usually made to promote manga but the only instances i remember of that happening on a large scale are with aot, demon slayer and jjk

Yes, the plot starts as a typical shonen but then makes a complete 180 and becomes one of the best stories ive ever experienced. Its a breath of fresh air like steins gate was at the time
