Well, we might have to start caring a little.

Those s***ty work conditions are scaring potential animators away from the industry. Studios are gonna end up with a lot more production issues due to the shortage of labour and we, the fans, are gonna end up with a lot more s***ty products as a result.

Realistically? Probably not. My reply was more of a response to OP saying that fans don't really care about animators and we only care about the final product (which is true, unless you happen to be part of the less than 2% of fans who do stuff like search up their favourite animator's Twitter)

I just wanted to point out that fans should at least hope that animators start getting better working conditions because we're just gonna keep getting s***ty final products due to the animator shortages.

Not gonna pretend like I know anywhere near enough about Japanese labour conditions to comment on that.

But the thing is, there already is a shining example of good industry practice: Kyoto Animation. They pay their animators a salary instead of per cut. They have a secure, livable wage and they aren't trying to output as much work as possible just to survive. If other studios wanted to be the best, they would just follow KyoAni's model considering KyoAni is the most consistently polished TV anime studio in the industry.

To me it seems counterproductive to overwork someone when you can give em good working conditions and by doing so set an example for the industry AND have better results

Black Clover is one of the worst Shonen ever created. S***s not even selling in Japan.
Be it KnY or JJK, they both carry the DNA of Bleach. Both authors are huge fans. Funnily enough, even though it is regarded as the worst of the Big 3, it is also the most influential one out of all of them.
I don't even care if you dislike Bleach but putting Black Clover over it is just huge cap.

Yea, if you dislike it thats fine. I can see most of the issues people have with it. For me personally tho, the good points are just so strong that i can ignore them.

crazy thing is i used to love that s*** as a kid/when it was airing on Adult Swim. Soul Society arc is great but when literally every subsequent arc is a step down, i can only f*** with a series so heavy

bleach has the most ass-pulls I've seen in anime/manga

ichigo is a hollow/shinigami/quincy

everytime some captain got their ass beat they'd somehow come up with a new technique on the spot claiming its something they trained for years to achieve yet most captains didnt use their bankai till the last arc despite previously being in the brink of death

and even the first ''good'' arcs are about saving a damsel in distress with no strategy or tactics but with the power of ''believing in yourself'' or ''I promised so and so that...''

speaking of ass-pulls didnt some shinigami in the last arc turn into zombies and then went from zombies back to humans cause ''science b****'' ???

not to mention ichigo became more powerful than the soul king -basicaly god himself- but still couldnt beat yawht??

that's manga stuff tho so the anime gets a pass

but even in the anime there's 366 episodes with roughly 200 of em being canon.....the only good part of bleach anime was aizen

It came out already i think, Gege actually said that reading the first chapter of Bleach as a kid inspired him to be a mangaka, gotta respect Kubo and Bleach for that alone

I could've said mha but black clover is theme-wise the closest to bleach given that ichigo had hollow powers like asta has devil powers or like how bleach has the gotei and black clover has the magic squad captains plus both ichigo and asta use swords

Also a lot of the powers Ichigo gets were foreshadowed from early on.
I don't care about most of the stuff you categorize as asspulls because it doesn't really matter in battle shonen for me. Thats not why i watch them. Bleach is one of the coolest Manga out there. The fashion is cool af. Every character is a cool mf. Everytime a character revealed their bankai, s*** was going crazy. For me the Fullbring arc and the War arc are much stronger than the Fake Karakura arc which is the worst part imo.

But ngl reading all these critiques about Bleach making me second guess if i ever want to read it or watch it

I had a phase where i was a Bleach hater myself. But there was a time when i took a deep dive into Shonen history and afterwards it really changed my outlook on it.
Bleach gets criticized for a lot of stuff it doesn't even try to be. The cinematic panelling of the Manga, the coolness in general and the great fighting powers are the strong points of it. If you can appreciate these things, than it can easily be on of your favorite Shonen but if you don't care about then of course its not gonna appeal to you
