do you get the rakugo scenes? I dunno if it’s just me but I feel like the humor is getting lost in translation or something. those performance scenes never make me laugh. rest of the show fire tho. Watched like 4-5 ep last night. Prolly will finish the rest tonight

The studio thats doing that Mushoku isekai right now would be a better fit stylistically. Ufotable is way too flashy

That would be whitefox, and they lack the consistency to do the amazing art of the manga justice

No studio really would have the time and resources to do it justice besides Ghibli and KyoAni and they don't adapt works of that type. Same reason i don't want a Vagabond or Yotsuba anime

"X manga is impossible to animate!" is a tired cliché.
Manga with unconventional art or way of storytelling like Punpun, Nejimaki Kagyu, BLAME! and Yotsuba I can understand.
But manga like Berserk, Vagabond and Witch Hat Atelier do not fall under this.
OPM is the best drawn manga from a technical standpoint I have read, and yet it got one of the best anime adaptations.
It took some of the most skilled and passionate animators but they made it work.
The openingsongs for the last Berserk adaptation looked great and it would have been amazing if the actual anime looked like that. And that manga is better drawn than vagabond, Inoues art degraded around the farm arc while Miura has always been improving his art, especially once he switched to digital (hot take I know).
The adaptation and improvement of technology in the industry itself is another reason why I don't believe in this.
So in short, couple this with their trackrecord and I am certain Ufotable would do it justice.

I don’t agree at all that Berserks art got better but thats another topic.
Its not really that its impossible because Inoues art is too beautiful or anything. It just takes more effort for animators to make the characters stay on model when going with an art style like Vagabonds. They have to move realistically and stay on model at the same time which just takes a lot more effort compared to OPM. OPMs characters are more cartoony and its easy to do whatever you want to do with them. A Vagabond adaption will just be too time consuming for something that will probably not even sell that well.
I was not saying that Vagabond can’t be adapted, i just don’t see that the current state of the Anime industry can actually deliver on it.

Watching dubbed anime reaction these past years have opened my eyes to some great dubbing. Steins Gate (better than the sub imo), Fate/Stay Night, UBW, Berserk, HxH, FMA and more. I used to cringe at dubbing but these comes off genuine.
