StardustJapanese probably have a different sense of humor, especially 20th century japanese. I found the rakugo scenes compelling and i was absorbed into the stories but i didnt necessarily laugh everytime i should've but that's ok with me, i didnt need to understand that type of humor to enjoy those scenes personally, the voice acting, direction and stories told were enough for me

you didn't do enough research then, age of consent is individually set in each prefecture at at least 16. the national age of consent law basically holds no matter because of how the individual prefectures amended their own laws.

TranquilityOnly semi-related to the topic at hand and I'm kinda talking to myself here, but I never really thought comparing sports shows to each other made much sense. I think when you break down most sports shows they either fall into the action, shounen, coming-of-age, or drama categories. The sport itself is kinda irrelevant and it just happens to be the activity that the creator decided the characters will express themselves with. Haikyuu has more in common with shounens than it does with Ping Pong the Animation for example.
agreed, this isn't really thought about much at all from my experience, too many people interested in slotting anime into categories and not looking beyond that.
so many ""sports"" anime have more in common with other bigger shows in those categories, like its kinda crazy thinking about hikaru no go, chihayafuru, ping ping, slam dunk, and haikyu and trying to tie them all together just because they're all about a "sport"

They've been pretty insistent on rolling with a small group of trustworthy people to handle key animation and directing. It worked out well for the first half of the show, but eventually the schedule caught up to them and they needed more people to come in to help carry the workload. Once they announced an unplanned recap episode was happening that was basically confirmation that the schedule got f***ed I guess.
