Certain repetitive sounds drive me insane. This is an issue I started to develop more as I got older. Never really remember noticing it as much when I was younger. Only sound that did it was when my lil bro used to do that "nuck nuck" throat itching sound.
Nowadays sniffing, throat clearing, whistling, chirping from smoke alarms, horns, and loud bass all bring out a visceral disgust and internal rage reaction in me. The longer it goes on the more intense it gets to the point where I'll absolutely hate the person/thing making the noise, even though I know it's dumb and they aren't doing anything wrong.
Most of the time I'll just leave the area but if I can't then I'll just deal with it and manage my emotions as best I can. Used to have a coworker who would whistle every damn day for hours and I finally had to say something and explain it. I've found that most people aren't too self aware of how their habits could affect others.

Chewing and velcro for me
Both make me furious, but chewing is more of a disgust reaction whereas velcro is borderline a physical pain in my head and tingling all over my body, think nails on chalkboard x10
You may be entitled to compensation

I wrote this while being tortured by my neighbors loud bass. If I'm suffering we all are
Aur aur aur-aur aur
