Didnt realise it was vram thats crazy - what do you need that much vram for apart from ai? It seems niche
It’s not technically vram. Apple silicon has “unified ram” for the gpu/cpu/neural engine since it’s all on the same chip, but for practical purposes/comparisons yeah
To answer ur question, for me a windows/linux laptop is a nonstarter for a ton of practical reasons along with personal preferences + apple ecosystem. Although since apple silicon I can’t think of a reason to even consider buying a pc laptop personally
And for ai work, training and deploying large models is going to be done on remote linux servers with nvidia GPUs anyway. But working with small models with coreml etc for on-device ai for ios apps is a lot easier with those kind of specs
Ftr I’m not getting a 128gb mbp, but a ton of people have valid use cases for that much ram
my iphone doesnt have a case either, just rawdog it in the real world. somehow no cracks
All black Macbook makes it look like some cheap ASUS laptop imo.
yup. midnight is the best colorway yet

I drop my phone at least once a day
god dammit they are so good with creating a pricing ladder. I wanted a new m3 pro laptop but I might just settle for a used or refurb m2 pro

AppleCare?
i kinda lied tho there’s a hairline crack on the back and some scuffs on the corners (iphone 12) im clumsy as s***
actually surprised it hasn’t shattered
Trying to decide if I wanna cop the new one or wait another year for a potential slight redesign
