The music should be sent the way you like it and have it done. Raw is useful to fix any issues. But the goal is to elevate your music not change it. So it’s best to take off from where you left it

Gotcha — thanks for the insight. The reason I ask is, I’ll make what sounds great to me at 50% volume in my headphones, but as soon as I play it on my phone, a lot of the mids will blare through and sound excruciating, for example.

Then, in order for it to just be playable on my phone, I have to compromise the original mix that sounded great in my headphones, and…you get the picture. I feel I could avoid a lot of this by just paying someone like you to mix & master. At least until I learn how to be better at it myself
