    The massacre probably had better production but by that time fifty had kind of changed his cadence and flow to pretty much what it is today (or whenever his last release was). The cadence, energy and impact of get rich is far superior even though production wise he levelled up

    What holds hip hop back is this insistence on hood s***. Like all the artists u mentioned are not hood and were trashed for not being hood enough. It rly stifles the creativity of the genre. Ppl seem to associate hip hop with hood culture in a way that makes it sorta ubiquitious with the genre

    Obv. Hip hop is atleast thought of as a metric for understanding black culture, but ppl need to realize its a feedback loop, by feeding into the hood culture its perpetuating the cycle
