Rewatching it I got alot of nostalgia for the WIT seasons BUT Mappa stepped up the game for directing, dialogue and just overall presentation.
The only thing I dislike about it is that it sacrificed the iconic WIT look. Overall tho the scenes are so much more interesting to follow with the Mappa adaptation
Thinking about this shows reveal - episodes made me think of how funny it is that mushoku tensei just named theirs "turning point x"
finally finished this show after 14 years insane to think about when I first started watching this
i didnt like the animations in season 4 they made all the characters so ugly and weird looking. also why was the colossal titan engaged in fisticuffs with Eren I thought its supposed to be omega slow no?
falco being able to fly was kinda eyerolling did we know beforehand that a titan can change abilities depending on who inherits it? other than royal blood unlocking certain stuff I mean
the war hammer titan was too swaggy shouldve been used more
It’s crazy how many ppl defended Eren when Isayama made it pretty explicit that he wasn’t just a victim, that he actually was BORN with a desire for violence (this is stated verbatim in the show). And what’s really interesting is that Isayama basically admits he didn’t fully commit to that idea in the end. The fact that he says the story wasn’t "his alone" anymore makes it seem like audience attachment to Eren may have influenced how sympathetically he was portrayed, even if that wasn’t his original intent..
