Yeah idk how else she would have separated the bones from the rest (dirt, gunk, rotten organs remains etc)
How did the catholics clean the bones to put them in shrines? I really don't know either maybe they boiled it too, boiling objects can sanitize them too some degree so I wouldn't be surprised that older practices that have been passed down use that method

I'm pretty sure with scientific innovations, Archeologists today-who also dig up bones- clean bones with chemical products and whatnot (maybe an oven for heat idk)

And this is where azealia banks messed up, she's not supposed to show this (clearly doing it for attention) without explain wth is going on
