Depends where you at in Phx, it's big asl and with many sub divisions - there's a major black spot, many major lil Spanish pockets spreaded and a gigantic overreaching major white spot, it's the 3rd biggest in terms of literal size iirc it's always crazy to think about 💀
I do love in both AZ and CA, but I grow my hair out for nearly a decade now lol and when I do I need a touch up I have girls I know touch it up for me at their place or mine - last time I got my haircut at an actual barber was when I lived in Tucson for a lil bit with a family member and found a dope lil black owned barber shop, but I never have in Phx
Look for black groups online of phx/Arizona from reddit, Facebook, twitter, bluesky or threads or whatever if you don't have anyone personally to hit up IRL in your area

The barbers do exist, but most other black ppl I personally know out here grow their hair to some extent lol - now that I think about it

Black ppl are really only in Phx, Tucson, Mesa and Yuma tho in AZ for the most part - those are also the 4 out 6 main cities in AZ (that aren't a sub division of Phx like scottsdale etc.) with the other two being Gilbert and Flagstaff. PHX, Mesa and Tucson are the "big 3" tho.
HM to Sedona I guess but that's more like a tourist area and a reservation, beautiful tho asl and nice to visit.
HM to Nogales that is a city that is literally half and half owed by Mexico and owed by USA with a literal border fence in the middle of the town lmao, it's not big but a lot of business for AZ happens there and one of the major Spanish places along with casa grande - just be mindful of cartel activity in Phx, Tucson, Yuma, Casa Grande and Nogales. If you're doing any kind of street d*** selling with a decent plug, you are nearly connected to them in some form. Even if it's by a few degrees. Black, white, Spanish or Asian it don't matter, and the only legit "gang" kind of life in AZ.
Don't live in Marana, which is in between Tucson and Phx (well it's actually right outside Tucson, so technically in between casa grande and Tucson, which phx is just after casa). It's gotten better but still has a lot of white farm land racists and weirdo cop happy calling suburbs.

But yeah generally speaking I be in the Bayarea for half the year and in Phx for half the year - CA native born n raised with most family there but I'm in AZ for treatments at the Mayo clinic in Phx and the cheaper cost of living
I would prob live in Tucson over Phx tho if I could, like the slower pace compared to Phx and especially Phx and there's cool little pockets not wildly known - but I also dont like how small it is compared to Phx and CA n Marana weirdos n stuck up oro valley being just round the corner

Idk if u know them but sometimes I work with the Dom and Sean ppl in PHX. They do a lot of production work n mixing n have a cool lil mountain compound with a bunch of live instrumentalists n ish.
