How many times can you get s***ted on before you say enough is enough and just scream f*** everybody? People s*** on African American for white validation mean while standing on the soil that the African American man and woman built. Should we stick together as black people? Yes but op you can’t make it like it’s a one sided thing. I remember reading a post with mad Dominicans on ig doing the Dominicans are black debate and a few mother f***ers in the comments said “we don’t want to associate ourselves with African Americans because they’re labeled lazy and uneducated they’re the ones pushing that agenda” I was flabbergasted by the delusion. We receive the most hate then every group of people so I honestly don’t blame them for fighting back and being proud of themselves. But I do feel like us as black people need to stand together wether you’re AA,Jamaican,African, Haitian etc

the problem simply stems from what you justly typed and have the right to be offended over on both sides, as it is based off of anecdotal prejudices

and your last, most important point, was only a sentence. THAT is the entire problem in this conversation lmao. you have to look towards getting your reparations without getting offended at the detractors from the real fight which is all of us coming together at the end of the day. they want us to fight each other while further isolating ourselves into our identity groups so when it’s time to repay: well you not FBA, so you gotta leave the country, sorry. when it’s like, people aren’t arguing against FBA, we are arguing against fighting each other which will eventually get turned around on us

Hundreds of millions dead doesnt equal the same advantages white people get. Which in reality would just end up less because the people running the institutions are the white supremacists.

im not saying social services are a substitute for reparations
but it still makes a difference in people's lives, personally i've been affected by trump and his new admin
he's only made it harder for people on food stamps
and i was recently told by someone who is pregnant that they are going to be denied healthcare services

i dont know how acknowledging that is "democrat babble" these are just real life facts but whatever

I agree but I feel like the ancestors in this country who had to wear those big ass chains on their neck, hung from those trees 🍇 kids fed to gators deserve everything in this country, not saying everyone else doesn’t deserve it but their family lineage need that first it’s been long overdue. Just like I said we need to stick together but the only way it would work is when the obsession with African Americans end I was just watching burna boy not too long ago s***ting on African Americans, Kai cenat randomly s***ted on African Americans even the ugly b**** from wicked for no reason meanwhile she moving like a slave for Ariana s*** is a never ending cycle.

yea it’s definitely f***ed up and i agree that the atrocities that happened to people that built this country should be repaid greatly to their lineage 110%, including Native Americans and some Hispanics who also dealt with similar “deals” and atrocities/wars

it is f***ed up that Kai and Burna would speak that ignorantly about the culture of African Americans which is very rich and deeply nuanced. i hate that this conversation even exists and is a popular thing outside and within of America

Navigating the Internet and not getting radicalized by any content is difficult. You do have to keep a level head and know that individuals are just that, but damn has it been hard the last couple weeks I can’t even lie

Also another added point. Captain Durag was supposed to be “a superhero for our culture”. Now it becomes I’m not like those other blacks when criticism comes

This is what I was talking about earlier with African American being an identifier that flattens culture. Everyone thinks they can check in and check out with cultural items and still be disrespectful.
I’ll even use my self as an example. I’ve gone deep in research of African mythology for an art piece I’ve been writing. Imagine me using that sauce and then s***ting on the Kongo or Zulu people in the same breath.

You cannot have it both ways. It’s either we all “share” all culture produced by the diaspora and respect it to the fullest, or we recognize them individually and know our place when ingesting one’s culture outside of our own
