If this arc does have the overtone/implication of being a test for if this franchise is worth truly reviving…I think it’s passing the test so far
I felt that was the point of animating this lol
Just to see where the temperature was at the start a brand new series
Bruh what the f*** was all that sword s***
That was so confusing
Zangetsu is Yhawch because all quincy power stems from Yhawch, but it is an indepedent entity that resides in Ichigo or all quincy I guess? But at the same time Zangetsu is also his hollow too, what the f*** was that explanation

That’s pretty much the explanation lmao they don’t ever mention it again
Like Zangestsu is not really the Quincy but to ichigo he is, the actual zangetsu all along was white
Would have been cool if white spoke some during this part

That's some Kingdom Hearts, your heart creates your heartless, but little did you know it also creates your nobody level of convoluted

Several manga spoilers, expectations are high and if these requirements are met, it will definitely stand in time
Lmao this is like everything I’ve wanted/thought of in one image. Holyb
Wait so theoretically all Quincies have a “old man Zangetsu” inside them?
No cause they don't have bankai's or the soul society swords. That only existed really cause of him being half Shinigami

Pretty much what the fella above said. I just looked that question up and only soul reapers have spirit worlds accessible to them, bc of the zanpakutos.
I forget what’s the barrier that would prevent just anyone from becoming a soul reaper, like idk if you need to inherit it from someone genetically and then need it to be activated like Ichigo or what. But based on just the narrative and everyone else being surprised by Ichigo’s two “spirits”, it doesn’t seem like anyone else is capable of this, save…well that’d be a manga spoiler
Mangy spoils:
when you factor in his father’s strengthed Quincy and Soul Reaper powers, and Orihime’s insane feats for a human, Kurosaki Jr is def going to be a busted kid. The last chapter lends credence to this, but he genetically is the strongest in all 4 realms that exists

Definitely a factor, but there was so much build up just to see if this was palatable. Bleach Brave Souls has basically been the longest lasting gacha out of the big dogs aside from Dokkan and maybe OPTC (although I hear more about Brave Souls). CFOYW light novels seemingly did well. Burn the Witch is still ongoing
Maybe it was all a multi step process to get back to this point tho. Shoutouts to Kubo and Shueisha/Viz if so

@op you can choose which one you like
Anyways, good first cour. Although, it still doesn’t sit right with me how Ichigo is this half of every power in the verse but no doubt the adaption has been very good. I especially liked how they managed to recap important moment from the series so seamlessly
It gets increasingly coincidental the more we get into this cour, but with the entire backstory of the series being dependent on one villain’s scheming and another’s omniscient foresight, I suppose it does make sense
the ichigo/zangetsu/yhwach s***s still bizarre to say the least but this was a good cour

Idk if it’s fair to assume it’s gonna be at almost 5 chapters an episode the whole series
I already heard that they’re cutting out a lot of the fan service and s*** but to be quite honest I’d like to see more titties bouncing

Titties are a huge part of bleach granted, but there are some GAPING holes that gotta be plugged
I’ll sacrifice the camp we loved in OG Bleach if it means we can save the bullshit in the back half of this arc bro lmao

Would’ve like if Kubo continued Burn The Witch

I’m not one for bringing back tired old arguments from back then at this stage. Kubo to me has always been a god tier illustrator but terrible writer. I’m actually expecting the anime to rectify some parts of this arc so I’ll just lay back and watch them work.

basically, yeah. Even though he loves a multi-layered plot, he just sucks at depicting the small nuggets from point A to point Z. I don't think he misses all of them, and he usually gets the high notes right, but the stepping stones...he might miss like 1/4th of them along the way
the s*** part for him is that Oda is just a freak of nature and Kishimoto had this linear plot that he just expanded upon wonderfully and gave space to organically breathe. If you put him up against some of these narratives nowadays, he would've looked like Shakespeare lmao

I watched every episode up until Todoroki Sr gets half his face blown off, and generally liked it, but the reception that series gets…I just could never go back. That’s all I could do
I hear the manga got much better after a while after that point

I got into the manga around the “hype” part. Endeavor’s whole family/ arc is actually super gripping, lowkey more interesting than anything going on with Deku. Also Bakugo’s development was fun. My hero’s art is very underrated imo Hori can draw some pretty phenomenal panels, a lot of body horror in the manga as well.
But it for sure already peaked and is not sticking the landing during its last arc at all. Feels like he just wants to get it over with
If you ever go back I would say just read it I heard the anime has been spotty since overhaul

I hope this happens
