If you watched the anime for 3 seconds instead of trying to troll over folks' opinions about the manga 10 years ago, I think it might be pretty easy to see why public opinion changed

I can definitely see how there's a shift in Bleach reception given the constant and usual knocks it faced with story direction and writing issues, but it's probably also due to the lack of quality with current popular series that borrow and/or are heavily influenced from that big 3 era.

I've always loved it though, just as many others do, so the positivity I see in its return is pretty understandable. Feels like retribution and a fitting sendoff.

You know what I agree on this take for the most part. There’s still a few good running animes out there, so I wouldn’t say it’s the best written one right now but compared to Black Clover or MHA which are hugely popular, bleach is much better (I feel those take the tropes in a cheesy way). And do not get me wrong, I used to love reading Bleach weekly back then and never hated the full bring arc at first while others did. I just disliked the unnecessary fan service, ass pulls, and never keeping people dead. It just seemed like it was getting bad with how Kubo was writing it. It’s undoubtedly a founding father for action shonen of today and the designs are some of the best.

But ever since the renaissance of it, I reread it over now being older, and I just felt the flaws ruined an awesome manga. I’m interested to see if the anime fixes it (my issues being the unnecessary fan services like b**** every where or fights seeming rushed, plots I don’t care for) but I’m not going in thinking this arc was amazing in the manga. So unlike you I am not a huge avid Bleach fan, but a person wanting to see if it will improve the war arc to make it actually good. I just find the overall reception appalling but I see how compared to everything else it can be thought of as peak. Still think there’s d***riders. Don’t get me started on One piece (which I like) lol

Maybe it’s just me seeing people saying this arc slaps everywhere when I know that isn’t factual from a plot standpoint. I can barely find anyone criticizing the war arc anymore. It’s just odd. I also moved on from Bleach years ago because this took forever to even animate. Happy it finally did but there are people now saying how bleach was better than the other 2 when I thought that argument was over. Naruto’s last arc was alright but Bleach’s arc was too if not worse.

Just wanted to say what I observed. I think I just said it in the wrong thread where people are actually big Bleach fan’s so my bad lol. I at least got some good responses.

Idk man after the first soul society arc (and especially after hueco mundo) it starts getting pretty repetitive and stale lol the only thing ‘big 3’ worthy in bleach is the character designs

I think it gets stale for full bringer arc, but blood war was one of my fav arcs besides soul society

Yeah but blood moon is super average story wise so that should tell you something the way they kill off captain Yamamoto the biggest asspull bullshit I ever did see and that’s only the tip of the iceberg
