accolades didnt matter for that fight, we knew pfp it was a great fight. Canelo was already amongst the top fighters and definitely was one of the best fighters Mayweather has ever fought

Hardcore boxing fans already seem to know this weight jump is a cash grab (Crawford admitted himself) and he isn't a big enough draw or personality for casuals to be invested that deeply. They'll tune in simply because Canelo is fighting and because Turki will spin the marketing satellites.

No, that’s a different argument, but I agree who sick versus fury was more for hard-core I would say even triple G versus Canelo and Crawford versus Earl Spence are also for the more the hard-core. But I’m purely speaking on hype. This one seems to fit with the de la Hoya Mayweather by more than anything to me.

usyk fury defo was a massive fight just not in america due to american fans only being able to be invested in there own home grown diva fighters. true, america is a massive market that the fight didn't reach but it was a massive fight for sure and defo the biggest boxing match in recent memory.
