He did a song with Jesse Malin, a song with Willie Nile, a song with Joe Grushecky, and then did Darkness, Promised Land, Savin’ Up, Pumping Iron, Pink Cadillac, Light of Day, and then closed with an acoustic Thunder Road

He used to show up to the Light of Day benefits every year but has only showed up for the anniversaries in 2015, 2020, and now 2025 since

I had a feeling he’d show this time since it was an anniversary so I got a $50 balcony ticket and only got it confirmed that he would be there at like 5pm that day so I immediately drove down to Jersey and got there by 7 lol

Would have given away my ticket for free if he didn’t show

Was a great night. Brian Fallon did a short set, and the Goo Goo Dolls guy did an acoustic set too

bro you are such a f***ing real one, what a great read. I gotta check out the video you linked. Goddamn you are the embodiment of a Bruce Springsteen fan & I respect it a million times over ty for sharing

yeah, I know what it’s like to fail baby, with the whole world looking on. I know what it’s like to soar, and come crashing like a drunk on a bar room floor 🥹🙏

@op I am sure you read Bruce’s autobiography, but man, this specific part stays in my head:

Bruce & his son went to see the band Against Me! (kick ass band btw), and it was Bruce’s son’s fav band. They go backstage, after the show, and Against Me’s bass player showed them the full back tattoo he had of Bruce Springsteen

Could you f***ing imagine?! You go to see your favorite band ever & the bass player has a full back tattoo of your father!

Bruce said: I felt like the coolest Dad that night f***ing RIGHT!!!!

  • Bruce alleviates the constant overthinking of the cost of living & the mundane of everyday work life

  • God bless Bruce Springsteen 🙏 him & Kanye are the only artists where every single of their albums resonate with me in a special way. I feel incredibly thankful to have discovered both Bruce’s & Kanye’s discog through out my life 🙏 bless them both.

Last night in Red Bank.... Got confirmation that Bruce was performing at around 4pm yesterday, grabbed one of the last tickets for $155, pretended to get sick at work, drove down to Jersey from NY, and saw one of the best shows I've ever seen Bruce do.

Even snuck up to the front three rows for the last song of the night.

    Full setlist:

    1. One Guitar (with Willie Nile)
    2. Jole Blon (with Gary U.S. Bonds)
    3. This Little Girl (with Gary U.S. Bonds)
    4. Darkness on the Edge of Town
    5. Savin' Up
    6. I'm Not Sleeping
    7. Pumping Iron
    8. Lucky Town
    9. Atlantic City
    10. Never Be Enough Time
    11. Johnny 99
    12. The Promised Land (dedicated to Renee Good)
    13. Light of Day
    14. Thunder Road (acoustic)

bruce is probably the only song writer who feels like he speaks personally to me. i remember reading his autobio and the very first sentence it honestly felt eerie how he captured exactly how i felt

OMG, I feel the same fr! Dude, DUDE, his autobio spoke to my soul man. It was incredible, I loved the fact he had no co writer helping him & he just wrote it all on his own, it was so personal & so relatable

All of his songs speak to me on every level, so I totally get you. It’s amazing how well he can capture the human emotions in his songs, remarkable. Musical genius.

“I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It's dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

    Stay free, Bruce Springsteen”

Can’t believe LeBron reposted this song like worlds collide

Obv not my fav Bruce song but I am so damn proud of him for taking a stand and being so outspoken at a time where so many celebrities are being cowards

    It DOES make a difference

I just can never get enough of the Ghost of Tom Joad it is so underrated & so powerful.

well my Daddy worked the furnaces, kept em hotter than Hell that drop mid way through is f***ing insane.

sometimes he sent home what he could spare, the rest went to high top sneakers & toncho, and jeans like the gavachos wear

absolutely remarkable song writing through this whole project. It’s remarkable the power of Bruce’s pen.

  • Bought this incredibly well done coffee table book that breaks down every song Bruce wrote during his career.. goes all the way up to 2014

It includes photos pertaining to each era as it talks about the specific album’s songs
