F***ing boomers
Will only care if YEAT is removed from streaming services
They're not obligated to give their life's work to a company that barely pays them, and also happens to produce anti-vax content.
I feel like other artists will start removing their music too, not even because of Rogan, just because they'll start thinking they don't need Spotify's small paycheck. Whether or not that's a smart financial move remains to be seen

Canadian music icon Joni Mitchell says she decided to appear in blackface on the cover of one of her albums because she feels a connection to black men.
“When I see black men sitting, I have a tendency to go — like I nod like I’m a brother,” she told New York magazine. “I really feel an affinity because I have experienced being a black guy on several occasions.”
yoo we need to make this the narrative frfr
Would've thought I'd at the very least feel bad for siding with the corporation over the people. But then I hear about Joni Mitchell singing negro spirituals in blackface and I'm cool with having Spotify run all day
Lmao Jesus Christ.
What the f*** has happend to humanity? Why are people so Sensitive??????
Thread basically taking the same trajectory as those dababy threads from last year where loads of ppl complain about cancel culture until they can dig up some dirt on somebody at which point they try and counter cancel them lol
#cancelneilyoung
#canceljonimitchell
Neil couldn't give a f*** obviously the man's pulling his own music off the biggest streaming service
This is on brand for him too he's been doing s*** like this since the sixties

It’s people rationalizing which is fine but don’t act like digging up s*** on someone justifies an unrelated stance

No I agree with you (I think!), I just think it's funny to people scramble to find something to justify their initial position

While people really just be doing whatever man
I've never even heard of Joni Mitchell outside of when I asked my mom what artists she likes. I ain't even tryna be mean, like, it's their decision what they want to tolerate from the companies they let use their music, but it's just so evil to me to try to silence someone else's art and ruin their livelihoods. No, I don't like Rogan, but even clowns have the right to honk.
Not only that, but imagine if Spotify existed in like, the 60s. You know some cracker ass artists would pull their s*** because of civil rights anthems being on the service as well. And like, these are two very different situations, I know, but the concept is the same: the powerful and already established using their weight and power to try to silence things they don't like, and it's absolutely vile to me in any situation.
Bruh compared spreading covid misinformation to the civil rights movement
People crying about silencing and censorship is hilarious
Joe rogan doesnt have a constitutional right to be on spotify lmfao and he will keep his viewerbase no matter what happens with this, they would follow him to any platform
Also he has so much f***ing money from his spotify deal and he fully brought this covid misinfo s*** on himself, i cant bring myself too feel bad at all

You know a cracker ass artist wrote the first big civil rights anthem and Joni and Neil are his two biggest acolytes so

I wasn’t talking about these artists I meant that some big artists would. I don’t know old music like that so I can’t name names, but you know some crusty ass old racist with huge pull woulda been pulling their s*** over Change Gon Come and s***.
Also when I said cracker ass I was referring to racist white people. Nonracist white people aren’t “crackers” in my book.
