try and get a position like engineering, aviation, logistics, et cetera. you can use that experience down the line in the civilian sector + you'll have veteran status, so you'll have priority in something like federal government. AND the GI Bill if you stick long enough (3 years).

dawghonestly your best bet would be walmart for now. I just seen that they will be giving pay raises to hourly workers $13-15 in march

Feb 18, 2021·2 repliesimprove ur resume and self-learn SQL or something. idk what jobs poli sci majors apply to tbh. exaggerating or fibbing on skills will definitely help get interviews but from my experience reputable companies will make u demonstrate knowledge of whatever skills or experience u put on ur resume so exercise caution.
there are plenty of websites that sell courses/educational content and videos for cheap that teach valuable skills you can put on ur resume

chambrayrougei feel u @op. i graduated last year in june with a BA in design and i'm tryna get into branding/corporate design. finding a job fresh outta college has never been easy, but it's worse now with how dead the job market is.
hopping on linkedin every day to apply in vain for junior/entry-level positions that require more years than you've been able to accumulate is draining af

poli sci degree is worth nothing by itself. you need to have done tons of internships and volunteer work to get anywhere with a poli sci degree.

also in US u can automatically join military as officer grade if u have bachelors degree with decent pay and benefits + u generally doing actual career stuff vs shooting guns (which will help land jobs after ur service), idk if Canada has equivalent but that can be great start.
