Those tend to be infantrymen/front-line soldiers, i.e. folks who are sent to war, mentally scarred, and not given enough treatment back home.

If you play your cards right, you'll never see the frontlines, and can get a decent position domestically or at a military base. This is super true if you also have a degree, because they'll pivot you in a role that best suits it.
