I feel it to a point, but how I look at it is at the end of the day regardless on how we're portrayed in media as black people there are those who are going to look down at us for whatever reason and they use these media representations as confirmation bias toward those feelings they have toward us and for even some black people (not saying you) toward ourselves. Just like hyperviolence in rap music it can often be extremely dramatized depictions of real life and when it IS "real life". Those same people who point to the music don't care about what actually is happening in the streets at all or enough to their due diligence because they wouldn't be pointing to the music to begin with in the first place, but rather economic factors, education, etc.

You can say something similar with hypersexuality in media regarding us except there isn't as dire consequences as with real violence rather than with real sexuality. They just want something to point to with their preconceived notions that black women and other poc women are hoes, this proves it when it's just women having fun and expressing their sexuality which there is nothing wrong with to begin with. Or this turns women into prostitutes because it's hypersexual while ignoring s*** like the d*** epidemic, and again economic opportunity. There can be a point made for it not being at the grammys, but you can just turn the TV channel and move on.

I've never thought that s***. But that doesn't justify it. It's not cool when a guy does it and it's not cool when a girl does it. I have heard a story about some girls sodomizing a guy when he was d***ged I think he ended up killing some of them as well.

i get the smartphone thing, but locking out access to the internet is idiotic, it's a utility nowadays and kids will find a way to get on it no matter what

just keep an eye on your kid and teach them about the internet and how to use it safely
