Only gave it the cursory leak listen but it’s sounding pretty amazing to me

No clue how this isn't a global release

just finished first listen
not going to judge right away but i didnt enjoy it very much

some absolutely amazing songs in there mixed with just pure noise and trend hopping every sound he could get his hands on it was the first album of his that i was absolutely dreading what was coming next at parts

This album is not going to go over well with the general public because they will be turned off be some of the tracks in the beginning of the album , and then they might not give the rest of the project a real chance

But this project feels like Gambino wasn’t going for massive appeal at all, he made this one for his core fanbase

I feel like there were only maybe 2-3 songs that are SUPER chaotic and polarizing, but must of this has been a really nice listen

First couple track like 1-5?

1-4 but i like 2

no excuses is a waste of 7 minutes. track went no where

i still stand by gambino being an artist that does not need features too and the majority of them will only ever make the song worse than if he just did it himself

This is perfect blend of 3.15.20 and BTI to me. I'm loving it so far.

Dadvocate is like if Steve Lacy made a song about fatherhood

Hes starting to lose me in this stretch from no excuses on

lithonia and a place where love goes are the standouts to me

steps beach, yoshinoya, dadvocate all great too

I usually don’t give number scores on my first listen , but if I had to give a score based on overall enjoyment I’d give it an 8.5

A lot of gorgeous music in here, and a few absolutely chaotic moments. I think a lot Bino diehards will end up really loving this over time, but it’ll get really polarizing reviews from some people

It’s definitely an album that will need repeated listens over time, but those are the best kinds of album imo
