for years these festivals tried to minimize black artists and now that the artists with by far the biggest pull are more international and diverse than they ever been, theyre feening.
its a shame that the fans end up getting hurt in the process, but in actually happy these guys are like "were bigger than coachella" my kids are gonna instantly recognize "round the city round the clock" but be clueless to wtf coachella is

Rolling Stones still sell out stadiums lol they would absolutely be a big deal for a headliner. They've had weak headlining groups before and they've still managed to be the biggest festival in the US and one of the most culturally relevant in the world. There's about 1000 festivals that will fail before Coachella does.

thats true but they're not particularly rare or exclusive like most of their headliners typically are.
a crazy reunion (talking heads pls) or a rare act (like frank ocean last year) would seal the deal. this looks like any other LV fest (i still love both of those acts though and would see them live in a heartbeat and don't deny that they're huge)
