Welp. Rewatch tonight didn't yield any greater results.

Obviously, the couple moments I thought were actually pretty thrilling on the first watch like Nikki screaming on the help line or Nikki killing Sarah had lesser effect since I knew they were coming.

This crowd probably had the biggest reaction to the Jenga scene, that was fun.

I can't even really see how there has been debate sparked surrounding which one of them is the victim...

Fine movie, but yeah that's about it for me. I overheard a girl saying it was her 6th time tho lol, the people are loving it.

I get people saying it’s not for them and think the meta arguments on a very straightforward movie ironically propelled it to have a lasting fan base

she maybe wouldn’t have naturally “loved him more than anyone else in the f***ing world”

couple questions I had

1-He should’ve tried reversing the damn wish like WAYYYYY soooner

2-shouldn’t he have taken the bloody clothes and blood stains off before walking in public

3-Bro, relax your manic-looking ass down, explain the situation as normal and as calm as you can to your friends or someone to at least have a chance

4- I feel like he could’ve paid some random shmoe $1000 to say any words he wanted and break the stick, no questions asked, I would’ve done that WAY before trying to get Freaky Nikki to do it are u crazy

I don’t think it would be pity. I feel her going to Ian who in ways would degrade her but when bear says it she is genuinely hurt is among many signs she cared about him . She connected with him in ways she didn’t others but romance is about effort risking failure the good and bad moments . Not a magic win button . He went there supposed to get a crystal for her and left with a wish device that he never gives her . He never gives her directly free will even in ending she finds and breaks the willow herself . He goes to Ian who previously controlled Nikki before the wish in hopes he would make a wish to solve it . I don’t think it’s a coincidence he only asked men to make a wish

1-he was fine when he could pretend it was real love . When he saw that Nikki wasn’t truly there with the death of Sarah and other issues he tried to cope

2-i thought this would be a factor at the shop but he was kind of just in his car and store then Ian’s

3-Ian was never going to take bear seriously he didn’t at any point of the movie he was focused on himself

4- unless I’m missing something he never asked Nikki to make a wish . He just went home after coping with Ian failing him to sit and reflect on how f\*\*\*ed he was .

Yeah he did go back to Nicki after Ian’s but with the intention of making HER do the wish he wanted Ian to do, his reasoning being she loves him so she’d do anything he asks. He just got then swept up in the chaos and never got that to happen.

he never fully attempted to say what he needed. That was a central part of final interaction. When he is in bathroom and says he needs space she understands . But she also takes it as rejection from someone she loves more than anyone in the world. So what does she do ? Exactly what he wishes at the beginning of the movie . If his free will is pushing him to Sarah . To question her . To lock himself in a room . She decides or the spirit to make him lose his free will and be as in love with her as she is him .
