One of Dame's biggest mistakes was not taking full advantage of that Creative Control/DD172 situation. That feels like time the stars really aligned for him.

He's also done way too many interviews to go starting a label lol

that DD172 / creative control era was so goated.

that DD172 / creative control era was so goated.

Yeah I believe that period was one of the most important moments in Dame's career. He had partners but he was truly doing his own thing and kinda showing he could still bring together the best and brightest under his umbrella.

Basically the first content house. Had rappers basically vlogging everyday.

Unfortunately he just didn't have the capital or resources to combat the kind of deals that were being floated to artists and of course wasn't willing to go get that funding to take it to the next level.

The end of Creative Control was the end of his career imo.

Now it just lives on YouTube as a time capsule of hiphop in the early 2010s.

Creative Control was fire along with the Art s*** Dame was doing at that time. Seems like Swizz took that baton and ran with it to multiple successful ventures

    He was behind creative control?

He had falling outs and bad legal issues with some of those artists too. I think Spitta got like 3 mil off of him because he distributed his music illegally

  • I just signed 😃

  • Nigga love white women so much he still tryna make the “white girl that raps” method work
