-Album has been in the works since just before the release of Quaranta

-The title of the record was announced at his Boiler Room Vancouver set. While it’s not confirmed what the title means, I theorize based on the name, and one of the confirmed song names (more on that below) that it may be referencing David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust alter ego in some way.

-Danny has described it as his most “fun” album, and less of a “trauma dump” as he refers to some of his other work. He’s said it’s still “emo” in some ways, but in more of a “clear minded on the other side” type of way.

-Danny said the sound of the album will “shock” people, and that nothing else in his catalog sounds like it.

-It seems despite rumours of Quaranta being his last Warp release, this album will also be released under the label. He said on his podcast that he’s still signed, not to mention Warp has continually posted features he’s done, shows he’s performed etc.

Is it called Starburst or Stardust. One is a sweet I used to enjoy on long car journeys as a kid, and one is a film where Robert De Niro crossdresses.

I think he changed it to Starburst to slightly sidestep the Bowie comparison as recently as that last Danny Brown Show pod. On the setlist it says Stardust, which he says was the title track. & refers to it as such. But this is the most recent mention
