Yeah Lausse album was pretty good. Kojey radical album was another good from this year.

Couldn't really get into the Loyle Carner or Knucks album tho

Yeah I felt the same about Loyles and Kniucks album. And yeah I forg to about Kojeys album but that was a good one, was groovy, definitely underrated.

On this album I really like how Dave levelled up lyrically and content wise. I haven't really gone back to it though but I'll do that today

I slept on this when it came out, never listened to a Dave song but gave this a spin on a run and damn

It's got bars, super deep themes, solid production. Insane album, glad I finally gave it a play

I just started relsitening to the album and I really don't like the first 2 songs much, they are pretty boring production wise and Daves delivery isn't great. The album picks up a lot from there though but it isnt as good as I remembered it being.

Chapter 16 is still elite though and Raindance is great.

I really wish he varied his delivery more often rather than his soft spoken rapping. Its why I like Boy Who Played The Heart so much, he is coming with the energy that matches the purpose of the track.

I generally think that artists delviery should match the purpose of the song, and should be specific to the song, rather than having a standard delivery that is nearly always used. Some rappers have such a good 'standard' delivery that they can get away with it more, but I don't think Dave is one of them.

Top 5 album of the year for me last year for sure, I still got it in rotation
