It shows each chapter that contains weird route content, if you click on the numbers you even get a snippet that proves its about the weird route (and curious enough, there's chapter 3 sword route s*** if you click between #2 and #4, probably because while not strictly weird route content, its what canonically introduces the player to the route).
5 is the last number here so thats why i think it might be the end. Theres also the fact gerson mentions in his boss fight that lord of the hammers (based on the deltarune prophecy) ended with chapter 5 because the writer couldnt continue it, so i think there may be some intended finality with chapter 5. I think this may connect to the weird route being the actual prophecy, while the normal story we play being us breaking the prophecy and creating a new ending, which makes sense considering susie herself wasnt the original 2nd hero but noelle (which also connects to how in weird route we try to put noelle in her original position as the second hero by making her stronger).

Anyway we shall see, we're so close i know im going to lose my mind

Maybe a hot take this my favorite chapter yet

So Toby just subverted all expectations and delivered what will be known as his most divisive work until chapter 7 releases and all the doubters will see how instrumental this chapter actually is despite its seemingly bright tone. Its my favorite chapter probably, or at least neck and neck with chapter 4.
One surprise after another, firing on all cylinders in both gameplay (level variety, new mechanics, interesting bullet patterns and new forms of interactions within battles) and music (as soon as the jazz remix of field of hopes and dreams hit i was convinced this would've had the best score). The story is more character focused after the major escalation in stakes and the elucidation on the prophecy, and more lighthearted as previously mentioned. I thought i was tripping when the anime cutscene for flowery started playing. I generally found him and his family awesome, but i am a fan of Toby Fox including all of his quirks so im more tolerant of his bs. In general, i loved how he tackled the themes of love and jealousy in this arc, without involving toriel, sans and most other things fans speculated. I also get the criticisms on the lack of answers, specifically on the dess incident that started all of asgore's issues, but im not worrying because its enough of a big plot point not to be abandoned.

The secret boss was crazy and the hardest boss so far easily, even more than the knight, f*** that bomberman ass pattern.

The ending with the flowery vs knight lil fight was gas, i grew to love that flower so much, especially after his boss fight with his anime theme song, goated ass character.

Theres the stuff with the forgotten man that leads to believe that his lil sidequest Is done but we'll have to do something with those eggs and we got nothing of note this chapter so i digress.

And finally the weird route. I got the semi-aborted ending to the lake scene, i guess i didnt want to break the game enough, cause when the screen turned white i wasnt aware you could move the heart still. I did both tho so i should get all the possible routes in the future. Crazy noelle development, she scared me s***less at 2am, nothing in undertale compares. And im glad to be wrong, the weird route will continue straight up in chapter 7. Its only been a day since i finished chapter 5 so i don't got anything to speculate about yet, but between this and lil crumbs here and there there's a lot to chew on. Im very satisfied, im sure the fans too when the initial disappointment wears out.

Also i have a soft spot for ralsei so im glad this was also a ralsei centric chapter. Funny how the gerson description of chapter 5 applied more to ralsei than asgore

ran through the new chapter in a few days.

out of the five chapters we’ve gotten, this has the best gameplay. I’m a big fan of platformers, so this scratched that itch for me. add in a bunch of new lovable characters, another incredible score from Toby, and fantastic visuals, and you have another great chapter in the Deltarune saga.

Toby turned chapter 6 into my most anticipated release of 2027 so far.

Theres even a teaser about ch 7b and its a huge one, and thats just the weird route of ch 7!

i wonder if its gonna be a look into dess' disappearance.
