Two Star or Baby ?
Which one ya taking
both my AOTY for their respective years
Both great albums but definitely Baby
Two Star still feels like there is a lot of room to grow for Mk.gee as an artist, but Baby feels fully conceptualized and fully realized
I can picture a better and more refined version of Two Star, whereas Baby feels like the best version of what it set out to be

Baby, no contest.
"But it was terribly difficult for him to arrive at that premise. “I was having a really hard time with the rec-ord,” Dijon says. “Like, psychosis-level s***.” A friend even staged a mini-intervention to get him to stop reading Thomas Pynchon’s Gravity’s Rainbow. (“You shouldn’t do that, it’s so paranoid,” he remembers this friend saying. “And he wasn’t wrong.”) He describes driving home from studio sessions sobbing, listening to Anita Baker’s “Caught Up in the Rapture,” full of sorrow that he was so far from those heights. Music is so f***ed, he thought to himself, and my music is so bad."
I love him so much
like this is so crazy
