Do y’all remember the days when you couldn’t even listen to a Prince song on YouTube? That s*** was terrible for a kid like me cuz I didn’t know where to listen to his music at the time
kinda the same way with jimi hendrix although i think theyre starting to upload more of his songs. mainly the big ones though, like if you search for a random album cut its probably not on youtube

there’s a certain dialogue that needs to be started on here one day and it ties directly to what this thread is about...

I respect Anthony but their are tons of people who entirely based their musical opinions on whatever he likes.
Or does time, experience, and "paying your dues" not hold any weight in musical discussions?
Should people who have only been fans of the genre for a short amount of time be able to freely slander legends?

He didn’t want his music anywhere. When he died labels started letting all his music videos for his album cuts all on YouTube and most his s*** is all out there
stfu
you gettin old then
if 5 years isn't long enough to have an opinion on music, what is?

I won't be asking them for recommendations, but their opinions are valid and I respect them.

Yeah I remember that too. I was in elementary school when I heard Little Red Corvette and that s*** blew me away but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Thankfully a couple years later I discovered Spotify and his s*** was on there. Ik he was always putting his music on and off on streaming but I came in at the right time
However if they ain't do their due diligence listening to older albums or artist they shouldn't be making these bold statements
Example: "Nas discography is so trash"
I f***ing hate that Nas narrative so much
No, because thanks to the internet you can become knowledgeable enough ab any artist or band in a short amount of time
But I think it’s important to look at things in retrospect and other lenses
Only if they compare every woman artist to Kate Bush or Bjork
The two best to ever do it
yeezus is more beloved by fantano fans and internet dwelling music elitist types
tlop is more beloved by the hypebeast kids and cacs who recently got into rap
both are good albums that have aged pretty well, but nowhere near kanye's best
TLOP is easily Kanye’s best
Ik plenty of people like this. How the f*** can you listen to the same s*** over and over again? Does it not get boring?
It appears that the majority of ktt only cares ab a handful of artists
I mean, only if they’re arguing history or s***ting on a legend that was active before they even began acknowledging the genre
