Well I think it wasn’t obvious because it’s never like actually addressed in the movies

You may not like their arcs in the film

but Hulk was not sidelined

Considering his arc was about having to fight without the Hulk and the Hulk refusing to come out due to being scared of Thanos and also being frustrated with feeling used by banner for only these means but being ashamed of the Hulk side of him otherwise.

Black Panther’s arc was very minimal but they have a small little thing about how him making the decision to open his kingdom to this war being something that brings a bit of passive aggressive criticism his way. Not much of a story or arc i’ll give you that. Regardless he’s definitely utilized in the story being a strong ally when he didn’t have to. He brought Wakanda into a war that could have meant the end to his land because he wanted to help save half of all life.

The hulk literally doesn’t show up anymore in the movie. That’s the definition of sidelining lol

And the black panther stuff was already addressed in its post credits they openly became willing to let the outsiders in

Hulk was not sidelined considering the movie essentially opens up with one of the major things happening in the first 15 min is Hulk getting pieced up by Thanos, learning a hard lesson.

Banner and Hulk are one in the same, Banner’s arc the whole movie is how he has to deal with situations like this without being carried by the Hulk.

Their dynamic is all the way off more then ever.

Black Panther opens up Wakanda just to protect vision.

I’m not saying that these are amazing arcs but they are there and utilized in the film properly.

As opposed to spider-verse where it unfortunately felt like the other 3 were in fact sidelined more to comedic relief then anything else.

fr it was all but confirmed that the branching timelines was what spawned everything - it'd make zero sense to have that loki finale n then give another explanation for the multiverse. i guess u could argue that wanda or peter talking during the spell was the catalyst? but that'd be dumb.
