Doechii has definitely received racist hate though. Adin Ross literally had a whole dorky white boy fit over her on stream.
Still, not liking Doechii's music doesn't automatically mean you hate Black women.

Of course 100% disliking her music is fine the problem is all the narratives and visceral hate like I can’t think of many other even figures in pop culture who have had so many concrete examples of visceral blatant racism and misogyny thrown at them recently. I can see it literally every time I open one of her reply sections. A good amount of the hate comes from that place. And it’s no coincidence it’s at the one person in the genre advocating for queer people and Palestine on this level of mainstream just saying. I don’t think a normal rapper archetype with one bad pop rap hit out of 6 is ever receiving some of the s*** we’ve seen this past year.
sonically i'll take this over whatever pseudo experimental music denzel curry is putting out now
He got like 10 projects tho
I'm just hoping she actually shows up on her debut album
Her mixtape is aight-eh, too many 'I'm not just a tik tok rapper' bars
Show me, don't tell me
Being like actually I don’t like this female artist being successful MINE should be the successful one imo is inherently misogynistic the idea that there’s 1 woman worthy of fame or like their gender defines this is rly harmful just because females are less “default” in rap doesn’t mean we work to tear them down for some exclusive spot it’s just rly harmful and silly
people in this thread named other female artist they think is better. that doesnt make it misogynistic. if that was the case we would all be misandrist when comparing male rappers

I havnt seen anybody say not liking her music makes you misogynistic lol
only darkskin woman to make genuinely good music post-lauryn hill is kelala
I don’t support degeneracy in the black community this music appeals to suboptimal IQ holders
What type of bs is this lol

I've been called that a number of times this year simply because I said Anxiety was f***ing trash.

To better articulate what I mean, I think saying ppl u know is better is good saying like some catty lady in a barbershop oh this lady deserves her spot she doesn’t reinforces misogyny yes it’s the same thing as me being in the 70s yea bro bad brains f***ing sucks because death should be in their spot like yea it’s not racist on its face but it’s harmful imo and like reinforces this idea of keeping this minority group here a minority yk. It’s not the worst thing in the world ya true I wouldn’t die on this hill but
It’s not. I’m not even the biggest fan of hers but i think most of that comes from people online just saying misogynistic/racist s*** about her instead of saying anything about the music fr
Yes i agree. i think alot of those misogynistic comments came too after a few of her public stunts. there was an incident where she even made misandrist comments and that whole umbrella diva thing. still bad tho
He got like 10 projects tho

Sometimes she just be saying s*** that sounds cool but don’t mean nothing fr. Not saying that’s inherently bad some of my favorite rappers do that but when it’s someone like her who’s clearly very talented on a technical level you definitely want more from her
Its some of the dumbest s*** ever too
Doechii a great talented artist
Cherish that instead of pushing bs again
Off topic but
Damn why did Tierra Whack have to fumble the ball so badly
She & Azealia both had such massive potential and fumbled it for their own separate reasons

this is fair, I think tho she’s not rly tryna be a conscious rapper but I would like her to get more in depth and powerful in her next project tbh she has a lot of vulnerability but nothing that hits me in the gut emotionally so far she need dat edge. She got 1 mixtape tho so im patiently watching it unfold, her mixtape I appreciated for just how the songs were made and her rap skill she can rly perform sometimes as a showcase of talent it impressed me but I don’t play it front to back it kinda loses my interest at a point
Doechii Plant tripping.
How you gonna refute industry plant allegations on a song with SZA.

sorry idk if you articulated that better. felt like a brain aneurism reading that

Ngl I don’t need to die on this hill and it might be too woke so whatever but basically comparing rappers is normal sure what’s not normal and is kinda harmful is s***ting on one rapper and the position they have for their minority traits such as being a woman by devaluing them in comparison to whatever other minority u like does that make sense. You don’t need to devalue an artist’s existence and for the idea she needs to be “replaced” by another woman.
Like I can say I like x I think she’s better than x but when any time there’s a thread about a female rapper I don’t think there’s only room for one that needs to be replaced lol like why can’t we talk about them like normal artists instead of defining them by gender? Shouldn’t we want MORE successful ones yk? It seems more like an attempt to bring down sucessful ppl on that minority group than to acc talk about things we like. Feel like that reinforces misogyny in the game and it’s sort of catty yk

This is by far the worst post I’ve ever read on the internet.

Yes i agree lets not make it about race or gender. My first post was why she had to add that Anti black line " you suck every rap nigga from the back , but what's the agenda when the It girl is black."
and then the thread proceeded to list a bunch of Successful black female rappers that don get alot of plant allegations as doechii

Well my og post is replying specifically to the rico guy jus to clear that up but for that last part I mean tbh tho it’s not quite fitting imo right lkke just because there are darkskin women that don’t get called plants that don’t mean her being a darkskin queer woman isn’t a big part of people de legitimizing all her hard work. I don’t think it’s as big as ppl say for her getting called a PLANT per se but for everything else including the visceral hate train that has come with that label for her specifically I think yea that def influences it a great deal. ESP with the context of our current political climate
Nigga said post Lauryn hill get the whole fucc outta here nigga 😭😭😭
Missy Elliot dropped most of her discog post Miseducation that nigga just saying s*** man

yes but she literally played fire with fire when she said straight men are red flags. that did damage to her publicly
