First off, being a teenager and being talented enough to be selected to be involved in anything creative involving Dr. Dre is a HUGE DEAL and then the fact that this song is one of the things he came up with for Dre back then, that's CRAZY, too. Mind you, Drake didn't drop his FIRST MIXTAPE until a year later, in 2006.

Drake himself confirmed he didn't work long for Dr. Dre in the songwriting camp and only made like $10k because he got irresponsible or something and Dre wasn't here for that so he let him go. 2005 is the only time this song could be have been made.

Another reason why this track is DEFINITELY from circa 2005 is that this is the exact flow Drake used on Room for Improvement, which dropped in 2006. By 2007, on Comeback Season, his flow had evolved. You can easily tell what time period a Drake song is from based on what flow he uses.
