If you're a rapper that's making albums for mass consumption, these cleverly stupid lines and hooks and runs are unavoidable and par for the course is how I see it.

I've long felt that nostalgia has ruined the Drake discourse when it comes to his raps.

This is just my opinion but I could put together a pure bars playlist from 2020 - 2026 that would wipe the floor with the raps from 2009 - 2019.
The narrative just doesn't pass the smell test. He's a better artist overall now, but ESPECIALLY as a rapper. A lot of the raps when you listen make you really question a lot lol
