saw this tiktok of this dude saying the album he produced was like top 10 on AOTY and went to go check it out and it's actually pretty good. soul-sample heavy hip hop. good rapping, good production. it's sort of really reddit/rym/aoty core right now but I do think there is some genuine goodness to it.

This is a wonderful record, production is beautiful across the board, real infectious joy to the whole thing, John's having so much fun on the mic here, I'd recommend this to anyone

finally checking this out after seeing the weeks of hype and discussion on the music internets. i can't say i was fully tapped into the raps. just wasn't holding my interest. the beats are dope for sure.
