I got blood Bourne for free, think I should try playing through it first?

If u want a more closer experience to ER it would def be DS3 or Demons Souls remake. Elden ring still has its own unique difference but thats the closest.

Blooborne is what i personally started out with tho n now ive played n beaten them all except Demons Souls n currently playing Elden Ring. I took a leap of faith as well because the previews looked so damn good to me.

They are all tough tho n have their own difference minor or major, theres really not a "beginner friendly one", u just gotta jump, theyre all similar in regards to difficulty. Sekiro is just almost completely different as a game in terms of combat & structure tho, but similar level design n world building.

Sekiro imo is the hardest, Dark souls 2 n 1 are the easiest (still difficult). Bloodborne, Dark souls 3 n so far Elden Ring in the middle.

Its all different for everyone tho, but in general Bloodborne , Sekiro n dark souls 1 are considered hardest, Dark Souls 3 middle n Dark souls 2 lowest. ER is either hardest to middle atm.

Long explanation but i hope it helps n makes kinda sense. Basically just start out with whatever is the most interesting to you, because the more youre actually into it, the more youll push yourself to get better n stick with it.

They point to general main directions and main grace points.

So its either a missed main grace, or just a general point to something of interest.

For example, if it points behind stormhill, its telling you to go there since its the next canon zone & find the next major grace in that zone, which will then point you further.

Its like a waypoint that pushes you little by litlle.

Some merchs sell some but its usually like one n a basic set

If you kill char npcs they usually give you their armor as well, but wouldnt recommend on your first playthru

Does doing the volcano manor requests really effect your character? The guy who said it would lead you down a miserable path made me scared to do it, does it impact the ending you get or something?
