rennalla was way easier than the dungeon bosses in the area
For a seasoned player that played previous souls games it’s easy
Bruh you really don’t keep all the bell bearings in NG+… Are you f***ing serious dawg? Same f***ing thing as the ashes in DS3. Why do they constantly do annoying s*** like this
It's my first Souls game, highly frustrating at first but watch some YouTube starter guides and put in some time and you get the hang of it. I'm now fully addicted, I think I have 30 hours in already lmao
Cool, in what sense is it frustrating? Tough battles, boring parts, s***ty quests or wack controls or what?

You die a f*** ton
No lmao
I am aware that the boss battles aren't too friendly, but I mean 'beginner friendly' more in terms of easy to understand what it's about and get a hang of the controls and skills and such.

Can someone explain the numbers chart for me…. So say I have a weapon and I’m adding the Carian Greatsword AoW to it with Standard Affinity
So there’s….
Attack Power:
Physical 66+ 2 —> 92+ 16 (blue color)
Wtf is each of those numbers?
You die a f*** ton
But besides that? What is it about this game that makes it great? What are you digging about it? It's getting 10/10 everywhere and many folks seem to be playing it right now. Got a brother curious.

Yeah just dying constantly, I also started with a bad class for beginners and was just getting wrecked every 5 steps

What did you start with?
This was my first Souls game too and I had to restart my game and pick a different class

I had read somewhere that Confessor was a good balanced starter for beginners but was getting absolutely wrecked trying to do melee only lmao
Restarted as Astrologer and haven't looked back

So the first number is your raw attack, then the + is whatever extra damage you get from weapon scaling bonus. Take a look at the weapon and you’ll see stuff like Strength - D or Int - B. Those letters (goes from E —> S) determine your weapon scaling rank, so you want to make sure you’re ideally choosing weapons that fit your build/stats. Different weapons also do different kinds of damage - some might do physical while others do a mix of physical + another kind (holy, magic, etc.) Blue means the attack power is higher than whatever you had before, and red means lower
Affinities affect the type of scaling, ex. Keen scaling will increase the dex scaling, so the more points you pump into dex the higher the + number damage will be

Apart from the difficulty of the combat, many systems in the game are pretty opaque and you don’t have a journal/quest log for anything you encounter in the world. So many good resources online in terms of the wiki and YouTube videos so it probably won’t take you that long to get the hang of things, you should go for it man

Lol I googled that . Have yet to finish the game but before I finish and get to ng+ imma make sure to farm all the sets available. Get all the weapons available. Upgrade weapons I like and want to play around with to max before I go into ng+
Adulas Moonblade is such a good f***ing spell, ridiculously huge range and if you are close range the sword is multi hit, on top of all this it inflicts freeze which causes enemies to take more damage + the animation is cool as s***, combo this with moonveil which does bleed and scales with int anyway and its a wrap. Being a melee/caster hybrid feels so good man

what class are you?
what class are you?
Prisoner, so I started with good dex/int already.
That being said I feel like the early levels are a bit of a struggle if you don’t find the twinblade straightaway
