What is up with all the garbage second phase bosses in this game. I get one-shot by the draconic tree sentinel when he shoots the Lazer in the air and I have to play through 5 minutes of his piss easy first phase to practice against it. It's not f***ing fun to add filler garbage at the beginning of fights so it feels dramatic when they get hard. Like running around in circles poking rennla babies when she could've just stolen a couple flasks from me and skip to 2nd phase to make the fight more interesting.
Phase fights have always been a thing in fromsoft games but they seemed to make the ones in ER so monotonous at the beginning. Not one f***ing challenging phase 1 from a single boss in this game.
sounds like you need to get good lmao
Draconic tree sentinel one of the easiest bosses in the game lowkey, and if it’s taking you 5 minutes to get him half health then you’re not doing enough dmg for that point of the game
Being pure melee is hard man
U picked the worst FS game to be pure melee n ur missing a lot
I wanna know what soul games areas look like before disaster strikes
Cause these niggas always alluding to these high quality living areas until they not
Same
Yharnam/Cainhurst in bb, the cathedral in ds1/ds3 n the capital n academy town in elden ring the closes we got rn
I really wanna get this but won't buy it until I atleast get the hang of bloodborne.
Stuck on the first part of the game, and s*** is too hard.
The first part of BB is amongst the hardest areas of the whole game on the first playthrough.
Dont feel bad everyone went through it, but it does get easier relatively speaking once it clicks.
The entirety of the beginning up to Gascoigne is the game teaching you & setting your expectations.
Its not your regular action game, & it involves a bit more strategy. Learn from your mistakes & experiment. You also cant just charge into a crowd n whatnot like an AC game or sumn. Its different, n i guess "more realistic" in that area.
If you like the setting n gameplay so far, give it a try a bit longer. Maybe even try again the next day, letting your mind reset n muscle memory build.
But most important, dont feel bad about learning & dying. Everyones hardest n most confusing FS game (generally speaking) is their first.
Level 122ish, 50 dex and 49 faith, and Malenia said she doesn't give a s***
Sounds like u got no vigor
F
76 aint that high in this game
hmm where should I go for runes tho this faith/dex build not it at the moment
Tamed that red Wolf on my 3rd try
However after i went into that courtyard area i got destroyed by that rolling tall female statue thing with two axes
I’m up to the same part - actually I’m up to the boss fight now (just stay to the right after the the red wolf’s grace point)
As a warrior there’s no way I’m killing that metal/rock blade statue with my swords
Can someone explain weapon scaling to me and how do I know what weapons are good for my build?

from the letter the weapon has at each stat S being the highest, then A, then B, then so forth
If you level the stat your weapon scaled with, you will deal more damage. But also dont forget to upgrade the weapon

Adding on to this; upgrading a weapon will almost always yield higher results than increasing your stat that scales with it.
So while increasing your scaling stat is good, upgrading the weapon is much more important, especially at lower levels.
Im finally nearing endgame fam, still got many hours to go because i take it slow in every new area but man do i feel ready at the moment
Intelligence high enough that i can do basically every spell besides the Full Moon, Mimic Tear ashes is +7, still rocking the Moonveil Katana
What an experience
Kinda don’t want to get too cocky though cus i’ve heard lots of people being fed up with an unbalanced endgame? Hopefully it’s not that bad bc so far this really is close to a 10/10 for me
Only thing that might take it down to a 9/10 is some BS gank fights that mostly consists of reskins too. Would have rather had a single new enemy in place of those, even if they weren’t that special in design. I just hate reskins but it’s understandable and most are optional anyway

Tbh if youre a beginner its much better to get high vigor first and only get enough strength and dex to be able to use the weapon

my first time going INT and i won’t ever look back. Having SO much fun with all these spells and if i wanna go melee for a while there’s still a lot of dope weapons that scale with INT
Moonveil katana, Wing of Astel, Darkmoon Greatsword (s/o that beautiful item description that mentions a long standing tradition)
I assume From will keep this going in their new soulslike games (assuming they won’t stop making these) bc in all their previous games i never wanted to use magic bc it either wasn’t valiable til endgame or just looked boring
But now, ohhh man

I'm upset int users got all the good ass weapons, faith users getting busted once again.
Ya'll get magic scaling with magic AND frost weapons wtf bruh all we get is holy

Only reason I want to use magic is because the Kamehameha in this game is broken.
Wym?
Fight is called Godskin duo
however I think fight was easy played it 2 times now with Summon and solo and both is not that difficult

Nah dude the faith weapons you get in endgame are amazing plus the weapon arts are better

Name ‘em, I’m pretty far in the game and have every weapon on this list for instance
gamingintel.com/elden-ring-best-fai-weapons-for-faith-build
And I’m pretty underwhelmed
Plus ain’t no way any of them have a better skill than moonveil’s bullshit, PLUS moonveil does bleed buildup!! Int users get a bleed buildup scaling weapon AND frost buildup scaling smh

Sacred Relic Sword, Golden Order Sword, Blasphemous Blade those weird trumpets all lots of fun and insanely powerful and I havent even checked out so many

Sounds like you have a similar build to me, Full Moon is ass, what you actually want is Rannis Dark Moon.
It does -10% magic damage negation and is also frost damage, and frostbite is -20% damage negation if it procs. S*** is broken.
You can pretty much open every boss fight with this since this spell has such a long cast time and finding a situation to use it is difficult.
On top of this you have the Snow Witchs Hat which increases snow damage by 10%. This includes Rannis Dark Moon and Adulas Moonblade which is a pretty broken spell and also can proc frostbite
Sacred Relic Sword, Golden Order Sword, Blasphemous Blade those weird trumpets all lots of fun and insanely powerful and I havent even checked out so many
I don't have the first two but I definitely use the horn for armored enemies and I have Blasphemous blade but not sure if it's any better than Godslayer's Greatsword.
GG is a colossal sword and BB is a greatsword but they seem to have similar attack speeds and I already have GG upgraded to +9, both do fire damage.
