My tactics for it were extremely dumb so I died a lot in the first phase, I only just realised how easy it is to avoid the scholar projectiles, also extreme Bloodborne vibes right? Even the second phase is v similar to Rom

This definitely isn't what im saying. I'm saying that they probably wasn't scaled enough. What they're complaining about isn't really the game getting harder as I had no issue in that area. They're just not scaled right which isn't a "get gud" problem, but them not being better equipped. You can get two shotted in the beginning of the game and midde of the game. So I'm trying to figure out what's the difference? The game stays consistent all the way through with that. If they're getting manhandled late game it's because they're not scaled right equipment wise. Everyone know that level is what really doesn't mean s*** besides how weapons and armor scale with your character. You could be level 250 and still take large damage from early mobs if the armor set isn't good. He's saying armor doesn't matter when that isn't even true unless you're god tier at the game and can do parries or dodging well. Again I had no issue in that area.

They're not complaining about mechanics or broken hitboxes. They're complaining about enemies being to hard for them to kill. I even said that they're complaints can happen anywhere in the game if they're not properly equipped. When I did Stoneveil on my second run, I was well over level 80 and still was getting 3 shotted by knights. Mind you I still had starting armor on.

Also the game is built to explore a lot of an area before going to the next

That's where half your leveling n upgrade items come from

  • Mar 15, 2022

Also armor probably matters more in Elden Ring than any other title they ever done

Played for a few more hours and I’m getting a better hang of it. Did not realize earlier that my equipment was weighing me down, making my rolling mad clumsy. I removed/unequipped whatever equipment I wasn’t using and experimented a bit to see the difference, and it definitely made a difference. Evading enemy attacks became much easier now that I can roll faster/longer. Beat up these monsters with spears in a cave and eventually came out the other side to see a beautiful area. Siofra River.

Still I wonder 2 things: Why am I not leveling up despite fighting a lot? Been level 9 since I started. Also, how can I teleport away from here to other parts where I’ve been before? If I want to go back to a previous grace point for example.

It’s so sad i’m never going to get to experience this for the first time again I’m in ng+ now and it’s just not hitting the same

    Do you have a horse?

You have to level up manually in this game, once you have your horse then you can level up at the graces.

N holy s*** Chilla doing all this at ur base level youre basically playing a challenge run thats not normal but u still getting thru

I do not have a horse and I don’t know where to get one but I’ll probably find out haha.

Lol bro. I don’t seem to find anything in the game that guides me on what path I should take so I just go explore randomly and hope for the best and somehow make it through these areas that are way above my beginner butt.

To get ur horse its only in one specific area.

Its here: The grace in front of the castle gate where a camp is and a mappiece you have to go to that specific one.

If u dont know what im talking about, DEF LOOK IT UP, because you have to have your horse to do specific things n ESPECIALLY to level up.

After that then its all pretty much fair game for exploration n progress.

It's not an area that the game specifically tells u but its an area that most players will go to easily n early.

Pls get that horse right now. Ur gonna need him n the leveling.

to balance moonveil all they gotta do is increase FP consumption on the special move

cause realistically the sword not that good it’s just the fact that you basically have unlimited spam with the move

I cant believe @Chilla as a brand new player to FS games beat the Bloodhound Knight at base class level 9 within 15 tries n got to the Siofra elevator all without leveling or having the HORSE

S***s crazy and they say this game is impossible

Nah lol they need to change its stun potential. People have been saying to me Maliketh is one of the hardest boss in the game and s*** was a cakewalk with moonveil. Literally 2 weapon arts and you can perform a finisher.

I like the area so far the only downfall is that it seems to be way more linear than any of the other areas, its more like a level than one of the open zones

Seems like eventually I'll reach the more open bottom tho I see a castle turtle thing in the distance down there

There’s a lot of broken combinations in this game that do that exact same thing though.

And personally if it was indeed THAT broken I feel like speedrunners would use only that in there builds but they don’t.

I’ve seen so many sword of night and flame two shot bosses while moon veil is a slow burn

Moonveil stunning is still good but you still have to learn your boss patterns to even know your opening cause spamming it willy nilly gets you killed
